Prayer for Courage

Almighty God,
who gives strength to the weak
and upholds those who might fall,
give me courage to do what is right,
for those that trust in you have no need to fear.

Make be brave to face any danger
which may now threaten me.

Give me the help that you have promised
to those who ask it,
that I may overcome my fears
and go bravely forward.

Fill me with courage,
that nothing which is my duty to do,
may be too hard for me.

Let me put my trust in your power and goodness.

Thank you my Lord,

Amen

Prayer for Wisdom, Courage and Justice

O God, help me to have in my life the virtues
Which You value and admire.

Give me wisdom always to know
What I ought to to do;
What I ought to say;
Where I ought to go;

Give me courage,
To do the right thing when it is difficult;
If need be, to be laughed at for my faith;
Never to be ashamed to show my loyalty to you.

Give me justice,
Always to be fair in thought, word and action;
Always to think of the rights of others
As much as of my own;
Never to be content when anyone is being
Unjustly treated;

Give me self-control,
Always to have my impulses, passions
And emotions under perfect control;
Never to be swept into doing things
For which I would be sorry;
Never to do anything which would hurt others,
Grieve those who love me,
Or bring shame to myself.

Hear this my prayer for your love’s sake,

Amen.

Prayer for Wisdom

Great is the wisdom of the Lord!
God Almighty, Your wisdom includes
An understanding of what is fair,
What is logical and what is true,
What is right and what is lasting.
It mirrors Your pure intellect!

I entreat Your to grant me such Wisdom,

That my labors may reflect Your insight.

Your wisdom expands in  Your creations,

Displaying complexity and multiplicity.

Your wisdom is an eternity ahead of man.
May Your wisdom flourish forever.

Serenity Prayer

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;

Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;

Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;

That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.

Amen.

Ghandi Prayer

Welcome to the Ghandi Prayer.
Ghandi's prayer and fasting changed nations.
We hope you too will be blessed by using this beautiful prayer for the betterment of yourself, the world around you, and every life you touch.
In 1948 Mohandas Gandi began his last fast in order to convince both the Hindus and Muslims in the city to work towards peace.
Ghandi rose each day and read Jesus's Sermon on the Mount,and was convinced that this sermon contained more power and truth than the occupying forces of his native India, and the divisions between people within his country.
He referred to this as his "Experiments in Truth", and sought to set an example of putting Jesus' teaching into practice for the sake of peace.

O Lord, let my soul rise up to meet you
As the day rises to meet the sun
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now, and every shall be.  Amen.
Come, let us bow down and bend the knee:
Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.
Jesus, help us live in peace.
Lord give us strength to pray against the powers.
Psalm 67: 1-4
May GOd be merciful to us and bless us:
Show us the light of His countenance and come to us.
Let your ways be known upon the earth:
Your saving health among all nations.
Let the people praise You, O God:
Let all the people praise You.
Let the nations be glad and sing for joy:
For you judge the people with equity and guide all the nations upon the earth.
Lord give us strength to pray against the powers.
Genesis 6: 1-8  Galations 3:23-29
Lord give us strength to pray against the powers.

Fr.Rookey Miracle Prayer

Lorica of Saint Patrick

I arise today
Through a mighty strength, the invocation of the Trinity,
Through a belief in the Threeness,
Through confession of the Oneness
Of the Creator of creation.

I arise today
Through the strength of Christ's birth and His baptism,
Through the strength of His crucifixion and His burial,
Through the strength of His resurrection and His ascension,
Through the strength of His descent for the judgment of doom.

I arise today
Through the strength of the love of cherubim,
In obedience of angels,
In service of archangels,
In the hope of resurrection to meet with reward,
In the prayers of patriarchs,
In preachings of the apostles,
In faiths of confessors,
In innocence of virgins,
In deeds of righteous men.

I arise today
Through the strength of heaven;
Light of the sun,
Splendor of fire,
Speed of lightning,
Swiftness of the wind,
Depth of the sea,
Stability of the earth,
Firmness of the rock.

I arise today
Through God's strength to pilot me;
God's might to uphold me,
God's wisdom to guide me,
God's eye to look before me,
God's ear to hear me,
God's word to speak for me,
God's hand to guard me,
God's way to lie before me,
God's shield to protect me,
God's hosts to save me
From snares of the devil,
From temptations of vices,
From every one who desires me ill,
Afar and anear,
Alone or in a mulitude.

I summon today all these powers between me and evil,
Against every cruel merciless power that opposes my body and soul,
Against incantations of false prophets,
Against black laws of pagandom,
Against false laws of heretics,
Against craft of idolatry,
Against spells of women and smiths and wizards,
Against every knowledge that corrupts man's body and soul.
Christ shield me today
Against poison, against burning,
Against drowning, against wounding,
So that reward may come to me in abundance.

Christ with me, Christ before me, Christ behind me,
Christ in me, Christ beneath me, Christ above me,
Christ on my right, Christ on my left,
Christ when I lie down, Christ when I sit down,
Christ in the heart of every man who thinks of me,
Christ in the mouth of every man who speaks of me,
Christ in the eye that sees me,
Christ in the ear that hears me.

I arise today
Through a mighty strength, the invocation of the Trinity,
Through a belief in the Threeness,
Through a confession of the Oneness
Of the Creator of creation
